Yesterday I showed David around the Sydney Botanical Gardens. Against the backdrop of the city skyline hundreds of the world's largest fruit bats (Grey Headed Flying Foxes) dangled upside down in the tree tops, a rainbow parakeet perched on my shoulder and white Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos hopped across the lawn to greet us, one cockatoo stole my can of coke, when I took it back it cried loudly and puffed out it's feathers in protest.

Below - A Flying Fox glides overhead.
Who's a thirsty Coca-Cola thieving boy then?
These photos are a little blurry when zoomed in, but I just received an early birthday present - a 7.2 mega pixel Cyber-shot camera (thanks Mum, Mike and Steve), so no more blurry phone pics for the rest of the trip. I'll also be able to record good quality video footage. We're catching the Grey Hound on Sunday morning and heading 2,000 miles up the coast to Cairns. We have a 5-week bus ticket and a lot of places to see before we reach the Great Barrier Reef at the end of October.
